Everyone else has had plenty to say about what a dumpster fire most of 2020 was. I’ll not add to the chaos of words and puzzlement.

What I will say is how grateful I am every day for my amazing family around the world (thank goodness for FaceTime and Zoom), my steadfast friends (yes, you know who you are) and the ability to read voraciously, knit, sew and cook and do the work that feeds my soul (writing and organizational transformations).

Until twelve months ago we drifted from year to year, making casual resolutions, organizing dinner party celebrations filled food and beverages, punctuated with music and laughter. Watching the ball drop in New York’s crowded Times Square was such a benign tradition. Not tonight! If nothing else this year, we’ve learned not to take anything for granted.

I wish everyone good health, happiness, serenity and whatever good things their heart desires.
